como limpiar el barro de la piscina
Pools

It has happened to all of us to wake up and see our pool brown, full of mud because of a storm. How to clean the mud from the pool in these cases? Today we are going to tell you what to do when this happens in our pool.

First, we must have these products available:

Once these two products are in our hands, let’s get started!

1. Shut down the purification system of our pool

The first thing we should know about how to clean the mud from the pool, is that it is very important to perform this first step so that our pool does not become a mud puddle that will cost us a lot to get rid of..

2. Add the flocculant

When our pool is already stopped, we will add the liquid flocculant.

It is very important to follow the instructions on the package and add the amount indicated on it.

How do we add the flocculant?

The most efficient way to add this product to our pool is using a watering can. We will begin by watering all the edges of our pool, and so on until we have already poured the content that the package has indicated for our pool.

3. Wait for 12 hours

When 12 hours have passed since we have poured the flocculant, we will see that the water has become transparent and at the bottom of the pool we have all the flocculated mud.

4. It’s time to clean the mud

To eliminate all the mud of our pool, we will use a manual cleaner.

The process will be the following one:

  • Submerge the pole with the bottom cleaning trolley.
  • Introduce the hose in the water vertically.
  • Connect the hose of the cleaner to our water intake.
  • Open the cleaner valve closing skimmer and sump valves.
  • Put the selector valve in empty position (this way the mud that we suck will go directly to the drain).
  • Turn on the pump
  • Use the cleaner

5. Refill the pool again

When our pool is clean and full again, we put the skimmer and drain valves in their usual position and close the cleaner valve.

Then, we put the selector valve handle in filtration and we start the pump.

6. Let the pump act for 12 hours

In this way, we will have crystal clear water.
